A Three Tenor Tribute to Pavarotti

Luciano Pavarotti may be the greatest tenor to have ever lived. He dominated operatic stages around the globe in the 1970s and 1980s through the great Puccini and Verdi operas, and became a household name through his crossover collaborations with the biggest popular music artists of the day. In the 1990s, he joined Plácido Domingo and José Carreras to form The Three Tenors, filling stadiums around the world. He remained the King of Opera until his death in 2007.

This concert will feature three tremendous tenors (Sunny Shams, Scott Rumble, and Turgut Akmete), with pianist Roger Parton, for a night celebrating some of the greatest tenor repertoire from the opera and concert stages. An evening you just cannot miss.

This is the first concert in our summer series at Il Centro:  The Italian Cultural Centre, and is generously supported by the Consul-General of Italy. Wednesday 5 June 2019, 7:30 - 9pm. Slocan x Grandview. Ample free parking, and SkyTrain nearby. Bring a white handkerchief.
