Missing
November 2017
Music by Brian Current
Libretto by Marie Clements
Set in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, and along the Highway of Tears, Missing tells a story everyone knows, from the vantage of a woman no one remembers. This music drama gives voice to the story of Canada’s missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. It shows that each and every one of these missing people is honoured. This is strong and essential drama, and a Canadian tragedy by every measure.
Missing was co-produced by City Opera Vancouver and Pacific Opera Victoria.
